I have been so busy that I haven't had time to keep up with my blog! The biggest development over the last 6 weeks is that my new logo is complete! Yay!!!!!! Welcome, Little Ayden!

It has been such a pleasure getting to know Ayden and his parents!

He was a month old when he came in for his session--and I wasn't sure if we'd get him to sleep or not.

What a sweet little boy! I didn't need to worry at all.

I can't wait to see how he grows and changes over the year!

Thank you for trusting me with such an important time in Ayden's life!

Keri: What is the best part of being a mom and dad?

J & S: The best part about being a parent is looking at our son and seeing little parts of us. As you look at him, you think, he has mom's eyes and dad's ears! It's amazing, we actually created a person!!!

Keri: What is your favorite activity with Ayden?

Jenna: My favorite activity is to sleep with him in my arms. Snuggling with him and breathing him in--his scent is intoxicating!!! Dad's favorite activity is to have Ayden in his swing or vibrating chair while he walks back and forth in front of him. Ayden just stares and follows him with his eyes. Dad loves it!!

Keri: What is something you were not expecting about being a parent??

Jenna: We were not expecting to feel so differently--we didn't even know it was possible to love something so much!!! As the mom, I worry all the time over things I can't control. The idea of leaving him to go back to work or school actually makes sick to my stomach!

Keri: What will you miss about the infant stage?

Jenna: We will both miss holding him all the time and having him sleep in our arms!

Keri: What stages are you looking forward to?

Jenna: I am looking forward to the crawling, cooing, giggling,laughing and the smiles!!!

Shane: I am looking forward to coming home from work and having my son get all excited to see me!

Jenna: We are both looking forward to watching our son's personality grow and develop!!!

I am so excited to announce that I am currently being featured as one of 4 (yes, only 4!!!) wedding photographers in the annual edition of Eugene Weddings Magazine! This is such an honor for me!!! My wedding being featured is of Romina de los Santos and Mark Poole--two of the most amazing people I know. I am thrilled to death that their wedding is being honored this way. I am absolutely ecstatic with the quality of the publication. The color calibration and quality of the printing is spot on.

Keri: What do you like to do in your free time?

Savannah: I like to hang out with my friends. I also like to ride my quad-especially at the dunes.

K: Tell me something about yourself that I wouldn't know.

S: I have lived in California, Connecticut (my favorite place) and here.

K: What do you want to be when you grow up?

S: I either want to be a chemist or an astrobiologist. I'm not sure yet. I'm a science nerd.

K: A science nerd? Well, you're breaking some stereotypes, aren't you?! You are a cheerleader, too!

S: When I was a Freshman I tried out for the DHS Cheerleading Squad. I made the JV squad. Then, my sophomore year, I switched to Varsity! I have been on Varsity ever since.

K: So, back to your future... Where do you want to work eventually? What would be your dream job?

S: I either want to work for NASA, a University, or JPL (jet propulsion laboratory).

K: Wow! Way to go! One last question. Who is your hero?

S: I don't really look up to anybody. I guess because I want to be my own person and not be a twin of somebody else.

K: Fair enough!

Brooke and Jonathan

Brooke and Jonathan are such a sweet couple!
They couldn't have been more lucky with the weather on their December wedding day!
We had just enough of a break in the weather to run outside after the
ceremony and capture some portraits of just the two of them.

Some fun details about their wedding:

They had an ice cream sundae bar instead of cake! I LOVED this idea!!!

What else? Two words: PHOTO BOOTH
Their guests were awesome with the photo booth!!!! Check out the slideshow in my previous posting to see them rocking the props!!! Brooke and Jonathan chose to use their photo booth as a digital guest book, so they made sure to have each of their guests be represented in the photo booth.
It was so much fun!!!

I had such a great time with the Petty family out on their property! Little Noah had his 3 month session a few weeks ago, so we made sure to get some extra shots of big brother Hayden this time. Hayden has a pet goat that he really wanted some pictures with--problem was, his goat had gotten out and was off living the good life on the property somewhere. Keri: Tell me a little about yourself!

Natalie: The first thing that comes to mind when I think of myself is "SPONTANEOUS!" I love to have fun and stay positive in everything I do. Also, I am very involved in my school as Student Body President and a four year member of the swim team and equestrian team. Having school spirit and being involved is very important to me! I am also actively involved in 4H and was the 2010 Coos County Fair and Rodeo Queen. I am a country girl at heart and have four beautiful horses that always brighten my day, and a wonderful family that supports me in everything I do.

Keri: Wow! That is an impressive list of accomplishments for a high school student! What are your plans after high school?

Natalie: After high school I plan on attending Oregon State University and get my degree in Psychology and Linguistics and hopefully study abroad for one year.

Keri: Tell me something special about your personality that makes you who you are.

Natalie: I am very loving and always forgiving. My friends that I have made throughout years will ALWAYS be in my prayers and have a place in my heart!

Keri: Fun fact about you?

Natalie: I LOVE FEET!! Everything about them is so fascinating to me.

Keri: A favorite of yours?

Natalie: A favorite of mine would have to be my TOMS shoes!

Keri: What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?

Natalie: My absolute favorite thing to do in my free time is be with the people/animals I love-- whether that's my family, friends, talking to my amazing grandmother on the phone, my horses, or my dogs!

Keri: Tell me more about your sports you participate in.

Natalie: I am a swimmer and an equestrian (horseback rider)! I can't pick one or the other as my favorite because they both give me that overwhelming feeling of happiness everyone should get when they are doing something they love to do!

Keri: Tell me a little about yourself!

Kyndra: I love music. I'm in jazz choir, jazz band and symphonic band at my school and plan to major in music.

Keri: How fun! I was a music major for about two years! Classical voice, actually. I changed my major after I realized that I didn't want to perform or teach for my career! ;) You are going to have so much fun as a music major! What is your dream job?

Kyndra: I LOVE musicals and New York is my favorite place in the world. If I had my way, after graduation I would be on a plane to New York on my way to start a life of singing on Broadway :)

Keri: Tell me something about your personality...

Kyndra: I'm more on the quiet and reserved side, but once you get to really know me I tend to open up a bit more.

Keri: Fun fact about you...

Kyndra: I'm the most inflexible person in the world, and when I try to touch my toes the farthest I get is just below my knees. My legs are just longer than the rest of my body!

Keri: LOL! I feel your pain! The "sit and reach" test in Elementary School was always so embarrassing!!!!

Keri: Talk to me about your shoe collection! This is impressive!!!

Kyndra: My favorite shoes are converse, of course. I counted the other day and I have 23 pairs, and my collection is always growing!

Keri: A favorite of yours?

Kyndra: My new favorite things are my bracelets that make different shapes and I'm always on the lookout for new ones.

Keri: Favorite thing to do in your free time?

Kyndra: My favorite people in the whole wide world are my 5 closest friends. we've been best friends since 5th grade and have always been super close. We refer to ourselves as the "core." My favorite thing to do is drive around town at 11:00 at night getting McDonalds and Dutch Bros. and just going to random places with the 5 of them.

Keri: Do you play any sports?

Kyndra: Softball is my favorite sport and I've been playing since I was about 7 or 8.

Shelby: I'm always smiling or laughing! I'm not afraid to be myself. I have a very optimistic outlook on life and I love doing spontaneous things!

Sarah and Ryan are an amazing couple, who are full of life and know how to have FUN! Their wedding was held at the incredible St. Mary's Church in Mt. Angel, Oregon. Beautiful!!!! Afterwards we headed to Bauman Farms for the reception. Everything about their wedding was amazing! Here are just a few of my favorite shots of the day. Keri: How would you describe yourself?

Kat: Hmmm...where to start. I guess you could day I'm a very talkative girl. Maybe a little too much sometimes--but that's just me!

Keri: What else?

Kat: I'm pretty sporty. I like to be in shape at least! I'm a tennis girl. I play year round and I'm not scared of some competition. :)

Keri: Tell me about your personality.

Kat: I'm outgoing. A little quirky weirdo--but it's only because I like to have fun! I'm not afraid to be myself and I'm always smiling. I'm honest and trustworthy.

Keri: Like or dislike school?

Kat: I actually enjoy school. I enjoy being creative and enjoy whatever subject I'm applying myself in.

Kat: Food is delicious! I'd be so lost without it!!!

Kat: I'm very close with my family--mainly my sister. I like to say that she's my other half. I come from a family of 7 beautiful people!

Blue Model Danni

Introducing, Danni! Danni is one of my 2011 Blue Models.

Keri: Tell me a little about your life!

Danni: I have an extremely busy life, but I wouldn't want it any other way.

Keri: What keeps you busy? I know you play soccer.

Danni: I have played soccer since I was 5 and now I play year round, and yes, I get sick of it. I am looking to play at Corban University after I graduate.

Keri: What else do you do?

Danni: I play the piano and guitar. I played on the worship team at my school last year and now I'm gonna start playing at church and I'm really excited! I've played since I was 5 and it's been a huge part of my life ever since. I love to turn my music up super loud and drive my mom crazy :)

Keri: How fun to play on a worship team! Tell me about your beliefs--because they are obviously a huge part of who you are.

Danni: I'm a Christian and I do my best to follow Jesus every day. He is my Rock and my Strength. I go to UVC and I absolutely looooove it.

Keri: Favorite color?

Danni: My favorite color is orange! I pretty much love all bright colors... they just make me happy!

Keri: Dream place?

Danni: I wish I could live in California and go to the beach every day and look at the ocean.

Keri: What do you like to do in your free time?

Erika: I like reading. I read all the time! I'd love to lay in bed and read all day long.

Keri: What do you do for fun with your friends?

Erika: We like to drive around and sing. :)

Keri: You like to watch movies, too, right? What kind? Scary... funny....?

Erika: No, I hate scary movies! I'm big on the nerdy movies. I like Harry Potter. I like funny movies, too.

Erika: I play Volleyball and I High Jump.

Keri: How long have you played Volleyball?

Erika: A long time. I have doubles this week...Ughhhh....

Valerie and Jayson

This foxy lady is my Sister-In-Law, Valerie. Isn't she gorgeous??!!!! This session was intended to be a concept shoot for something that has been in my mind for several months now. Bride + Sunrise + River + Sun flare = My Plan. We only had one morning that we could make this plan happen while they were here visiting. We had been planning it for weeks--what we weren't planning on was the fog! Arghhhhh!!!!!! Plan spoiled!!!! Dense fog = No visible sunrise. We decided to make lemonade out of lemons and we set out at sunrise anyway so that we could get some fabulous portraits for Val and Jayson. I am so happy that we did! The fog gave us incredible light that made everything glow around them. It kept it nice and warm for them, too! ;)

As for my concept shoot idea.......I will make it happen one of these days!

Romina and Mark

Keri: How did you meet?

Romina: I grew up in California and Mark grew up in Virginia but we met by complete fate in Western Massachusetts in 2003. I was working at a retreat center in the woods, and he was hired in the Autumn to help with some construction and land projects.

Keri: When did you know that he was the one for you?

Romina: It took a whole 8 days before we were together, and by New Years we were already discussing Marriage

Keri: How did you guys end up in Oregon?

Romina: We left Massachusetts and backpacked through Belize and Guatemala for 3 months-- if that doesn't make or break a lover ship I don't know what does! When we returned to the states we took a road trip west, not sure where we would land, and ended up in Beautiful Oregon.

Keri: What are some things you like to do together?

Romina: We love the pacific northwest, we love to live in the woods, and have always sought out a home together in remote areas outside the "city."

Keri: Tell me something unique about your relationship.

Romina: He is 6 ft 1

I am 5 ft 1

but we see eye to eye.

Keri: You are both incredibly talented. Tell me about yourselves.

Romina: I'm a dancer and he's an artist of many genres: sculpture, woodwork, landscaping & painting.

Keri: You both seem very happy and content with life!

Romina: We love our life together, and especially the freedom to take off on adventures as often as possible We love our 2 "kids" Tea the cat and Ito the dog.

Keri: I know that this location is special to you. Tell me why you love it so much.

Romina: If given the choice of an outing we always seek water: rivers, waterfalls, lakes, or the ocean.

Keri: I'm looking forward to your wedding a lot. You have such special details that you have been working on! Are you excited for the day to come?

Romina: Our wedding this August is a celebration with our family and friends, but in truth we feel we've been married for as long as we've known each other--it was simply so clear from that very beginning!

Sarah and Ryan

We first met Sarah and Ryan two years ago when we photographed Sarah's cousin's wedding. (Hi Kristy and Mike!!!) What an amazing group of people! We feel so honored to have been asked to photograph another wedding for the family! Sarah and Ryan are full of energy, laughter, silliness, love and kindness. We are so excited for their wedding! It's only a week away now!

Keri: How did you guys meet?

S&R: We went to school together from elementary through high school, although never started talking until we were both out of high school. We ran into each other at our high school when we were helping out our old soccer teams and things went from there ...

Keri: Sarah, tell me something that Ryan does to show you he loves you.

Sarah: I am one of the most easily amused people you will ever meet in your life which works out to his benefit ;) every once in a while he will just take the long way home, I LOVE to stare out the window and just a little detour can make my day!

Keri: What is your favorite thing to do together?

S&R: Camping, hiking, just being outdoors, preferably somewhere by water where we can fish and somewhere that we don't have cell service so we can enjoy peace and quiet!

Keri: What are you most looking forward to in marriage?

S&R: KIDS!! We are both ecstatic about the day we finally have kids!

Keri: I know you have several pets. Tell me about them...

Sarah: We have 5 animals already! 2 Weenie dogs... Phin who is daddy's little man, and timid little Lily. 2 Cats, Niya..the door opening & fence hopping genius in the family, Grace, the bottle fed mamma's boy, and 1 Fish, Blaze....the product of Ryan being bored while I shopped at a craft store

Keri: Tell me something that is fun and unique about your relationship.

S&R: We make fun of each other constantly, bicker like we have been married for years, we hug about a thousand times a day, and love writing notes to each other on the bathroom mirror.
