A few weeks ago I was driving around town looking for train track access and instead I found this beautiful field of poppies. It was in a private yard, so I went to the door and left my business card with a note asking if I could come back and use their amazing yard for a session...no particular session in mind....wink wink. The owner called me that night. Turns out she's a friend of a friend who has seen my work before. She is such a nice lady and was more than happy to let me use her yard! Yay!!!! Thank you, Erin! I took the girls out that next weekend. At first they didn't know what to think. They carefully stepped around all of the flowers--freaked out about the bees once or twice and were absolute angels the entire time. I can't wait to go back next year with clients! This year I kept it exclusive to my girls! With one exception.... :)

This was my second session with Alisha, and it was just as fantastic as the first! It must be hard being GORGEOUS!!!!!! Her first session was outdoors, so she chose the studio for this one. I love the contrast between the two sessions. Alisha had braces put on last week just a couple of days after her session (welcome to the club, Alisha), so we snuck in this session just in time!
For Alisha's session she decided to bring her best friend,
Tianna, with her for a few shots. They are so funny together! They just giggle and laugh the entire time they are together. They were telling me about their "thing" that they do as best friends. They don't hold hands....they hold toes.... I didn't believe them so I had them show me. Sure enough, they hold toes! Hilarious!!!!

All I can say is....what a NICE guy!!! I had a really great time wandering through the streets of downtown Roseburg with Brian and his mom. :) They are genuinely nice people. I know that I say this on here all the time, but, I LOVE MY JOB!!!! Brian booked an extended session, so we had plenty of time to find just the right places for his portraits. We also were able to go to multiple locations--including the studio for a few formal shots.

This was Trevor's second session. For his first session we went downtown. This time we went GREEN!!!! We decided to head to the park where we would also have some river access. One of the greatest things about doing a split session or an extended session is the variety you get in the portraits! Fun! Enjoy your portraits, Trevor! Jadyn's Maternity session was so sweet! Jadyn brought her daughter along for "big sister shots" with her tummy. Ava was such a doll! She had all kinds of posing ideas that she wanted to try out with mommy and the baby. I can tell that she will be a lot of help to her mom with the baby!!! Here are just a few of my favorites. I can't wait for Denise and Jason's Wedding this August! They are such a cute, fun, easygoing and sweet couple. They are getting married at Romantic River Gardens, which is always absolutely beautiful! For their engagement session we decided to stay in the studio--since it was pouring down rain outside. Gotta love Oregon rain, right??!! :) I'm so happy with the way the pics turned out. Their playful relationship really shines through!
August will be here before we know it!!!

Kyle is a senior at Days Creek High School. He is such a trooper! The morning of his session I got a phone call from him saying that he had impaled his hand with a stick while skateboarding. He was on his way to the doctor to get IV antibiotics since he had a red line moving up his arm! He wanted to move his appointment up so that he wouldn't have to drive back into town later that day. I thought for sure that he would want to reschedule to another day (I would have wanted to if it were me!!!), but, no, he wanted to keep the appointment. I said, "ok, call me when you're done at the hospital..." halfway thinking that he would call me back for a different day. Sure enough, he called me as soon as he was done and we went ahead with his session. When I showed up for his session I asked to see his hand...I gasped, he shrugged his shoulders like "no big deal" and we went and did his session. What a guy! Thanks for choosing me to take your senior portraits, Kyle!
