Last weekend I was in Portland shooting a wedding for, quite possibly, the sweetest people on this planet!!! Kristy and Mike were married in Mt Angel at the Catholic Church and then had their reception at Bauman Farms in Gervais. Their wedding and reception were BEAUTIFUL!!! Kristy had thought of and planned for every last detail. I think that her professional skills as a teacher must have taken over as they planned the wedding...because it was perfect!!!
I had only spoken to Kristy a few times on the phone prior to their wedding...so not knowing their personalities very well, I was a little nervous about how the dynamics of the day were going to turn out. No problem! They were so relaxed! I couldn't detect any pre-wedding jitters--they kept their cool and truly enjoyed their day!
I LOVE that!!!!
It was pouring down rain the majority of the day- and I mean pouring! We had two absolutely perfect opportunities to sneak outside for some shots. The first was right after the ceremony. We had a break in the rain for about 20-25 minutes. The second was right after dinner at sunset. Yay!!! We were able to go outside and wander around the gorgeous gardens at Bauman Farms for some shots. They didn't care that the ground was soggy and muddy--they just went for it! What a fantastic couple!
I am so happy for you guys!
Congratulations from Adam and I!!!
Enjoy your slideshow!
PS- Kristy--PERFECT amount of BLING!!!! ;)

Keri, Thank you for capturing such beautiful images of my sister on her wedding day. Her love for Mike, her happiness, and her beauty just radiate in every photograph. You did a great job getting Mike to smile for pictures, too- I understand it's no small feat! They make a beautiful couple and I'm sure they'll treasure your artful interpretation of their wedding day the rest of their lives! Thanks again!
I was just going to comment on the beauty and artistry of the pictures, which is amazing, but then I saw what time you blogged this. Are you on drugs of some sort? How do you get up that early? Caffeine patches? I love you, lady!! And by the way, that cathedral is encroible! How fun to be able to shoot there!!
Erika,
Thank you so much! I had a wonderful time working with all of you! Kristy and Mike have chosen to surround themselves with an amazing group of people!!!
Miss Mary....It gets worse....I hadn't gone to bed yet. :) I was having so much fun with their pictures I just kept going! I did get about 4 hours of sleep in that night though, so it was all good!
