Aymee and Michael are getting married in just a few short weeks at the Settlemier House in Woodburn, Oregon. Yay!!! I can't believe it's almost here! It seems like such a long time ago that we met--but it's only been 6 months. We hit it off with them immediately and have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them better as the months have gone on. For their engagement session they REALLY wanted to go to Seattle....so we went! It was FANTASTIC! We spent several hours wandering around Seattle Center taking pictures, laughing, playing in the water, being a little goofy at times...You know the drill! After we were done with pictures we all headed to the Crab Pot for lunch. What a blast!!!

Here we all are at the Crab Pot. We had our server snap a picture of us for the blog. This is such a great restaurant. They cover your table in paper and then dump the food right in the middle of the table. We had three types of crab, mussels, corn, potatoes, sausage and shrimp. Yummmm!!!!! It's hard to tell in this photo, but Adam is proudly holding a burger.

No seafood for him! ;) One of the funniest parts of the day was right before lunch. Once we were finished with engagement photos I put away the big cameras and pulled out my little "for fun" camera. Michael and Aymee were laughing as they watched me transition from photographer to tourist. Hey, give me a break--they're HEAVY!!!

A couple of weeks ago I teamed up with FlyBoy Naturals and Hakuna Matata Hot Air Balloons for a fun-filled morning of creativity! I had the privilege of photographing this exciting adventure with my friends and colleagues, April and Troy. What a GREAT time!!! Everything was perfect! The weather conditions were beautiful and calm and our models were absolutely stunning! Thank you to everyone involved for making this event possible!

So, first of all, Amy is GORGEOUS!!!! How many expectant mothers can wear spandex and look fabulous??!! I can't wear spandex and I'm not even pregnant!!! ;) Her maternity session was done at the perfect time--her belly was the cutest little basketball-sized tummy. So GREAT!!! She brought her son along for some pictures and he is just as cute as can be. I've been photographing him since he was born and it's amazing to think back to when he was an infant...How has it gone by so fast?! Amy and Alex, you are such fantastic parents. I can't wait to meet the newest addition!

Shannon and Jason already feel like family! Their wedding will be the third wedding that I will have photographed for their group of friends and family. I feel so lucky to have worked with this FANTASTIC group of people over the past 3 years. Shannon and Jason are getting married on the northern Oregon Coast on the 4th of July!!! It's going to be amazing!!!

What a CUTE and FUN couple!!! Ashley and Rob are getting married this July 31st and I can't wait! Last year I photographed Ashley's sister's wedding (Amber and John--the couple that played in the fountain on their wedding day). Amber and John were really fun and Ashley and Rob are going to be exactly the same way!

They are both going to school at OSU and are playing soccer and baseball. Even though I am U of O Alumni, I won't hold that against them. ;) A couple weeks ago they took a quick break from studying to come down for engagement photos. We had a great time! It had been raining earlier in the day, so the grass was a beautiful bright green and the sky was a gorgeous deep blue. Enjoy your portraits! You guys are awesome!!!

Busy, busy, busy....

Well, I've been very neglectful of my blog this past few weeks. I've been busy doing a lot of event photography lately. It's been fun, but I haven't had much time to get to my blog! I thought that I would post some pictures from a few of the events that I look forward to each year.

The first job that I look forward to every year is Kathryn Howard's School of Dance end of the year portraits. It is a HUGE production! Over the course of three full days I photograph over 400 individual costumes and 50-55 group numbers. It's crazy!!!! To make it even crazier, I have all of the pictures back in time for the parents to pick up at the recital. That makes it a 1 week turnaround for thousands of pictures. How does this happen?? It wouldn't happen without Adam, Shayla, Melissa, Lindsey, Meghan, Mary and Coreen! Thank you so much to all of you for helping so much! Oh yeah, I can't forget to thank the good people of Coca Cola Company for making plenty of Diet Coke to get me through! I literally pull an "all nighter" after the final day of shooting in order to get the images edited, organized and ordered to make it back in time for delivery. This year I was actually able to go to bed at 4am thanks to Coreen and Adam! Whew!

This was my second year in a row to photograph the First Communion children at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. It is so much fun to see the kids dressed in their First Communion outfits at such an important event in their lives. Every year I am blown away by the level of preparation and detail put into this event by the church staff and parents. I look forward to next year, as well! Anita, from the church office, is so on the ball that she already has it scheduled with me! Amazing!

I also had the opportunity to be the photographer at the RHS prom again this year. This is the third year in a row that I have been the prom photographer for RHS. This year they had prom at the high school. It was an indoor and outdoor prom. Leadership did a fantastic job decorating and Absolute Sound did a great job with the music and lights. It's always so much fun to see the students dressed up and looking FANTASTIC!!! It was fun to see so many familiar faces of senior portrait clients. You all looked amazing! I hope you had a fun night!
