These two have been friends since the first grade. I have had the privilege of photographing them each year (since their junior high years) at Kathryn Howard's School of Dance--Such a treat to be able to do their senior portraits!!! I was really excited when they said they wanted to take their senior portraits together, because these girls are like two peas in a pod! Another bonus of the session was the location! Where in Oregon can you find green, tropical paradise in the middle of the winter???? Beky's house!!!! Gorgeous!

Keri: Beky, what is your earliest memory of Natalie?

Beky: We were in first grade and both had broken arms. When I saw that she had a broken arm I introduced myself. Hooray for broken bones! haha

Keri: Nat, tell me something unique about Beky.

Nat: She despises carrot juice.

Keri: Nat, what are your career plans for the future?

Natalie: Uuuummmmmm...Possibly a professional Sumo Wrestler, but I want to keep my options open.

Keri: Beky, if you could travel anywhere, where would you chose to go, and why?

Beky: I'm going to go with Never Never Land. Be able to fly, fight pirates...sounds pretty awesome. haha

Beky: Tortellini or Sourdough French Bread. I love so many movies, how could I ever choose a favorite?! For the man, my dad said to say the rich one. hahaha!

Keri: What will you miss most about high school?

Natalie: Probably all of my friends.

So, what's the story with this picture??? At one point during their session they were debating about what to wear next--about what would be the cutest. I told them they could put on anything and be gorgeous (I mean look at them!!!). I said something like, "you girls could even put on a brown paper sack and look beautiful...."

This is how they came back to me. And yes, as predicted, they even look beautiful in brown paper sacks!

Keri: What is your favorite TV show?

Ashley: The Office.

Keri: If you could meet any celebrity of your choice, who would it be?

Ashley: Dwight Schrute from The Office. (Rainn Wilson)

Keri: Tell me something that most people don’t know about you.

Ashley: I am a cat whisperer! Ever since I was little, wild cats have shown up around our farm and I have always been able to tame them. No one else could even get close to them, but me. I love cats.

Keri: Do you have any pets?

Ashley: I have an orange kitten. Guess what I named him?.. Dwight! And a border collie named Nikki. I was there when she was born. I call her Wubbie.



Keri: What do you desire from life, more than anything?

Ashley: Happiness.

Keri: Who inspires you?

Ashley: My mom because she is the nicest person I know and always does the best she can in everything she does. I hope one day I will grow up to be as awesome as she is.

Keri: If you could pick any cartoon character to be, which one would you choose?

Ashley: Spongebob Squarepants! I love Spongebob!

Keri: What are some of your talents?

Ashley: I play acoustic guitar, I am artistic, and I can run long distance. (I ran cross country this year and I got lost while running at our district meet. LOL)

Keri: You mentioned that you have a secret obsession...What is it???

Ashley: I am determined to find Princess Peach in the new Mario Bro. Wii Game. I will not rest until I accomplish it!!

Keri: What makes you laugh?

Ashley: Dwight Kitty. He plays fetch, jumps over and slides under our dog, he always comes in the bathroom and sits while I shower and thinks everything is all about him.

Andrea and Eric

Keri: How did you guys meet?
-
Eric: We went to the same school since 7th grade and never really knew each other or even had mutual friends. Then, right before sophomore year, we sat near each other in drivers ed and started talking.
Andrea: I had a notebook and Eric and I wrote notes to each other back and forth in it. I still have it. He finally asked me out over MSN October 23rd 2003.

Keri: What are your favorite things to do together?
-
Andrea: We love to go on drives together. Sometimes we just take the long way home and hang out in the car. For our honeymoon we are taking a road trip and stopping in a few hotels along the way then ending up in San Francisco for a couple of days and then driving back up. Oh, and we love the beach! He proposed to me on the coast and that's where we are staying the first night of our honeymoon. We take the dogs and run away to the coast any time we can.

Keri: Tell me something unique or fun about your relationship...
-
Eric: We like the same things and we are both animal lovers. We go up to Saving Grace a lot and walk the dogs or donate. On the weekends we always make it a point to go to second hand stores--because one person's junk is another person's treasure.

Keri: What makes your relationship special?
-
Andrea: We sort of balance each other out because he is very laid back and modest and I am a little (OK, maybe a lot) more outspoken and high-strung.

Keri: It sounds like your dogs are a big part of your life. Tell me about them!
-
Andrea: Our dogs, Roxy and Buddie, and our cat "Meow", are like our kids, we even refer to each other as Mom and Dad to them. We are a little obsessed. But they are definitely our starter kids.

Keri: Do you guys dream about anything in your future?
-
Andrea: If we won the lottery, the first thing we would do is buy a big piece of land, put a house on one end and open up an animal rescue on the other and spoil every animal that came in.

Keri: You guys are so comfortable and happy with each other! It's so obvious--even just spending an hour with you!
-
Andrea: One thing about us is that we always know exactly how to make each other laugh. We are so comfortable together and have the same sense of humor, even in the middle of a fight we can start laughing at and with each other.

Keri: What's your favorite movie?

Landon: The Dark Knight...nothing beats it.

Landon: Either The Mentalist or CSI (the original).

Landon: Basically good old school rock 'n' roll...and a little bit of country. I don't really care for anything else other than that.

Landon: I would go with Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman, or Black Stone Cherry. They're all great.

Landon: I plan on going to UCC to get my core classes out of the way, then go off somewhere to pursue my passion of writing screenplays for big movie ideas.

Landon: This is a little corny, but...I love to be at the beach at sundown and just watch the sun and think. I also love snow...a lot! My friend thinks she likes it more than me but she has no idea. -
