Jennifer's session was soooooo cold! She was a trooper, though, and hung in there! Her sister came along and provided fantastic entertainment for us all! The two sisters together were really funny! We got to laugh and have fun even though it was freezing cold!!!
Kristen was quite possibly the luckiest girl on the planet the day of her session! OK, maybe an exaggeration--but still pretty lucky! It had been FREEZING cold all week, and then, the day of her session, it was almost 65 degrees! Woohooo!!!!!! She actually got to be comfortable for her outdoor session in January! He is a die hard lacrosse player so I was really excited when
he showed up with his lacrosse stick for pictures.

As promised, here are a few of my favorites from the Allen Family session. I love the Allen family! They are so much fun! Mom and Dad are hilarious and their kids are absolute characters! They say the cutest, most creative things that leave you in stitches. This was one of the most energetic sessions I've had in a long time.
It was fun to have all the young energy in the studio--and it made for some FANTASTIC pictures that really show the kids' personalities!
Brett and his mom came to the studio for a yearbook session. They are sooooo funny together!!! I was cracking up with them! I loved it that they were able to relax and have fun! Great job, Brett!!!
Trevor is an RHS senior. We scheduled a 20 minute session to snap a couple shots right now in order to make the yearbook deadline. We'll finish his session once it warms up a bit! He's so easygoing!
I'm excited to finish his session!
The Russell Family is one of the kindest, most giving families that I know of. They have been family friends for a very long time, so I was honored when they called and asked me to do a family session with them over the holidays. They were lucky enough to have everyone home for a few days! We took these on Christmas Eve day and it was slushing/snowing off and on during their session. Everyone sat in their cars staying warm while Vicki and I made decisions about "what and where" and then they all made a run for the location once it was decided! Their little grandson was sooooooooooo good for the photos!

The "R" Family had everyone home for Christmas this year. They took advantage of the time to have family portraits taken. It was sooooooooooooo cold! They were really great sports about the weather. The kids were amazing! They stayed happy and were willing to be in the cold for the session! Wow! It was pouring down rain for their session so we took advantage of the MC bridge! I'm so glad! I especially love the series of silhouette shots that we did!

This couple is amazing! Not only are they both gorgeous, but they are kind and wonderful people, too! Summer was Kate's dance teacher...before we dropped out....sigh. I'm still a little sad about that (see September 2008 post for details)! You should see the way the little girls stare at Summer. She is like a real-life PRINCESS to them!!!! It's adorable! Next year, Summer, we'll add Kate to the fan club!!!

Each year I spend hours and hours on Christmas card designs. I love it! It is so much fun to see the cards come together with each family's personality coming through. Sometimes a family brings an idea to me that is totally unique from what everyone else wants. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that!!!! Anna (mom) had the idea for this year's card and I helped her make it happen. We had so much fun putting this card together. We sat here at the computer laughing, eating chips and guac, and laughing more as we worked into the night turning her little kiddos into elves. Thanks for the creative fun, Allen Family!!! Keep an eye out for their "real" pictures in the near future.
